Experience

Over the course of the past decade, I have taught undergraduate and high school students of different backgrounds and needs. I have worked in countries such as France, the United Kingdom and the United States as instructor of record, teaching assistant and tutor. I have taught survey courses in English and Gender Studies, advanced undergraduate seminars in literature, philosophy and political science, expository writing, translation and English as a Second Language (ESL). I have offered these courses through a variety of departments (Comp Lit, Gender Studies, English, Philosophy, Applied Math) and institutions (Brown University, Sorbonne University, Lycée Claude Bernard) and drew students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds (literary arts, humanities, social sciences and stem fields). I am a native speaker of French with a near-native knowledge of English and I am also highly-experienced teacher. I have done most of my training and teaching in an international context. I have been through the IB system and working across the French, British and American educational systems for all of my career as a student and a teacher. I am a dedicated teacher that believes in positive reinforcement and close monitoring of a student's progress. I emphasize the importance of tailoring my learning objectives to the needs of each student

I am fond of yoga (particularly Jivamukti), as well as skiing (cross-country), figure skating and other gliding outdoor sports. I also have a deep interest for anything botanical, including botanical gardens (the one from Leiden is exquisite), and botanical illustrations, and more particularly I have an interest for women who travel the world to discover those plants. If you want I can tell you everything about a badass Dutch woman from the 16th century who travelled to Suriname on her own just to have a peek at one specific flower... Tied to my interest of nature, I love spending time in the US South, exploring the Mississippi and other waterways from the region
